Video Blog: Today's thought from a Christian world-view:

After receiving Christ into my life that immensely heavy burden of the fear of death left me. You see the scriptures say in 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." And then again in 2 Timothy 1:7 the scriptures declare, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." When we come to Christ the blood of Jesus removes the shame, the fear, of sin from our hearts and replaces that fear with His righteousness, His right standing with the Father. Now, in Christ, the Bible says that we can come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). In Christ there is no longer separation and shame in our lives due to sin and we can approach Him with confidence. We can know and have assurance that being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

It is such a relief to live a life without the continual fear of the unknown, with fear of the possibility of judgment for sin in death. The difference is indescribable and something that you must experience for yourself. Perhaps you have lived in fear so long that you no longer know what a life without fear is like. Perhaps you have become accustomed to fear. I encourage you to, rather than sweeping your fears under the rug, to come to Christ, to know Him, and to be assured of your salvation. Listen in...
